Rachel Williams, BA (Hons), DipPsy (TA)

Rachel has a BA (Hons) from the University of Manchester (UK) and an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from the South Manchester Centre for Psychotherapy.

She specialises in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy and practices Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in her work. Rachel has an integrative approach in therapy, using humanistic and also solution-oriented therapies tailored to suit each individual. 

She is a registered professional member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).

Rachel is also a Certified EMDR Advanced Practitioner (Level 1 & 2).

Although born in the UK, Rachel spent most of her childhood living with her family in the Middle East, providing her with an insightful perspective on expatriate living.

Rachel has clinical experience working with individual adults and couples, providing treatment for:

Relationship problems, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, professional problems, physical and mental abuse, substance abuse, family issues, grief and loss, trauma and phobias, issues pertaining to assimilation and acculturation, self-harm, eating disorders, anger issues, sexuality issues, self-esteem.

She also teaches clients coping techniques, relaxation techniques, social skills and emotional coping skills.
